Big Bird Watch
The children created a bird hide today in preparation for the big bird watch tomorrow!
We have had a fantastic day of snow, art and science investigations!
KS2 had a fantastic time playing in the snow and working together to build snowmen. In science, we explored how different surfaces can impact forces and how far a weight can travel. In art, we practiced different shading techniques (hatching, cross hatching, scrumbling and pressure control).
Science
For science this week, we carried out an investigation to see what type of soil we have around our school playground. We filled bottles with soil from different locations and water. We then mixed it all up and left it over night to settle. This morning we could see light soil at the bottom and darker, denser soil at the top.
